March 8 - Women's Day and Mother's Day Theme Bulgarian

Today March 8 - International Women's Day. In Bulgaria, widely celebrated in a manner unconstrained and a great pleasure:) Everywhere straganików street with flowers. Dominated by small bouquets of tulips or hyacinths (Зюмбюл) and more pictures here, but there are also gerberas (for lovers ;-) GERB party, roses, carnations, freesia are occasional, and other flowers, the pot.
flowers can be not only to their wives. It should give a small bunch of any woman who we know, even the lady at the reception, which we see every day. Mandatory flowers nauczycielkom brewing, and the nursery and kindergarten.
Flower + words ЧЕСТИТ 8 - М И МАРТ and radiant smile guaranteed :)
in Poland in 1993, Prime Minister Hanna Suchocka officially abolished the celebration. (I do not quite understand what motivated the woman did it, but it happened). But the same custom has survived in Poland and is still cultivated. Maybe not on such a scale as in Bulgaria, but good though and that's because it is a very nice custom.
March 8, however, something more than a Women's Day. This is in Bulgaria also Mother's Day! Very popular in the nursery rhyme is a Thank You Mom ( Благодаря ти, мамо!) written by the renowned author of children's literature and youth Asena Bosewa ( Асен Босев ). Our baby had to learn the verses, and when this rhyme is repeated many times with my son preschool, willy-nilly to teach a man:) looks like a literal translation.

Thank You Mom!
Thank you, Mom,
за твоя топъл скут, you for your warm bosom

Dziękuję Ci jeszcze
за ясния ми ден, ; of pogodny my day
за грижите ти нощем, you for your concern at night
когато бдиш над мен. me awake when

за кроткия ти глас, for your gentle voice
I thank you.

Well, I must necessarily mention the beautiful song that probably knows every child in Bulgaria. Today
your mum sang it as our son:) My wife told me that it's very, very strange feeling when you hear a foreign language on their own child - Mom, I love you!
